The Passion of the Crow
Description:Ahh, the ole cartoon Jesus. This thing came to me out of no where. I wanted to do something with Jesus in a cartoon a while back but never got around to it. Then I came up with this thing.
I realized that I could make a cartoon Jesus serving as a scare crow. Both stand tall connected to a cross. I originally wanted to make Jesus look humiliated and bored, as if someone put him there and he was stuck accepting his new job position. Then I came this idea: Why not make Jesus evil?
I decided to make my cartoon Jesus sinister, like he's never been seen before. His angry expression shows content as well as desire. He is no longer suffering. Now he accepts himself as he is. I made his skin blue to show how cold and dead his skin is. The blood was a must. I had to intensify the mood by making it drip all over the place. Next, some dry corn stalks scattered randomly in the dead corn field. Lastly, the crow. I wanted just the silhouette and an eye so that the main focus stays on Christ.
Amen!
