You've got to get the edit button up and running... My uploading would run so much smoother.

So I'm not sure how many designers in here upload their pictures to not only look good as a blown up image but also as a little icon when it is presented on the homepage as well as your personal portfolio page. Appearance is EVERYTHING and in a place where so many designers and hopefully companies will be searching for that 1 designer, you'll need to know that your images stand out.

Right now I upload my works to look good as a little rectangle and portfolio piece. That might mean that I create and delete a "work" several times changing the image just a little bit to make sure it looks the way I want it. A edit button would make it much easier. :)

Thanks,

Tom

Hey Everyone,

I have added the ability now to edit your portfolio items. Simply visit your "Edit Portfolio" page, and click on the "edit" link below your portfolio items.

This should be much more helpful for everyone.

Is there any possible way we might be able to edit our thumbnail image or perhaps be able to upload a thumbnail image if we were to know the pixel size limitations? I think it would create for more effective browsing of portfolio pieces.

Hey Ryan,

Sorry for the delayed response – it has been a busy week for me.

The system currently takes a certain section of the full sized image and crops it out to create the thumbnail. I did this in order to create consistency in the image, and to make uploading a portfolio item easier. Only having to upload one large image rather than three different sized ones seemed best.

I will keep your suggestion in mind though, and if anyone else has feedback concerning it please let me know!

I kind of agree... Though Designers don't have to settle.... You just have to get creative...

While uploading my portfolio I noticed this problem as well.. My solution was adding space around the designs or skewing the images a little. Overall it does take away from the full portfolio piece, but people will be much more apt to click it.

Try it out...
